THE SECRET GARDEN, ARTIST IMPRESSION.
Janis Fischer
Executive Director Landscape Architect, Tract.
“Living within an established landscape is something that is rare for a new residential development. It’s really quite special. With the new gardens, we’ve been conscious of providing a mix of shared and private areas. People will have their secluded balconies and terraces as well as spaces to come together outside of that – to come out and share spaces with each other.
The Serpentine Garden is where the majority of the established trees are located; a green veil around the site. The Central Garden is really beautiful and acts as a common space for people to use. With the Market Garden, people will be drawn into getting involved; growing and sharing their own food alongside their neighbours.
Ultimately, we are designing Scotch Hill Gardens as an Exemplary Nature Based Cities development. By prioritising sustainability and restoring biodiversity, we’re also creating places where people can be immersed in nature as part of their everyday home environment.”
