THE WOODBURN, GRAND SCHEME – LIGHT, ARTIST IMPRESSION.

“We have a real affection for the character residences in Hawthorn. We sought inspiration from the classic interior details of these homes and refined them to ensure they would sit comfortably within the contemporary Scotch Hill Gardens context. The grand entrances at Scotch Hill Gardens are a nod to these legacy homes, as well as smaller moments like high skirting details and statement joinery that stands out where period furniture would otherwise be found.

Our aim for the Scotch Hill Gardens residences was to recreate a sense of timelessness that will ensure they look as beautiful in 20 or 30 years as they do the day the residents move in.

The connection to nature has been a really big consideration for the interiors. We’ve endeavoured to create spaces that almost recede into the landscape; that are deliberately understated and elegant and let the landscape do the talking.

Windows are oversized and positioned to capture the tree canopy outside, achieving a natural and seamless flow between the outside and in.”
